Ibiza Beaches and Ibiza Resorts (Ibiza, Spain)
With over 50 beautiful beaches adding up to more than 50 km / 30 miles of stunning coastline, the sunny island of Ibiza has many excellent beach facilities, with fine, golden sand and clear, blue waters. Some of the best beaches in Ibiza can be found to the south-east of the island, between Santa Eularia des Riu and Cala de Santa Vicent.
Many of the larger beaches include restaurants, beachside bars and a variety of watersports. There are also many other more private, secluded beaches and coves in Ibiza and it is still possible to find a quieter spot on the lively island of Ibiza.
During the summer, most beaches in Ibiza have lifeguards. Many beaches have swimming areas marked by buoys, although this does not mean that swimming outside these areas is prohibited. There are usually notice boards at the entrances to the beaches in Ibiza, listing the facilities available, such as showers and wheelchair access. Smaller beaches in Ibiza do not have lifeguards, but swimming is usually safe and the beaches are generally sited in small coves with calm waters. Topless sunbathing on Ibiza beaches is acceptable and in the resorts, people tend to spend most of their time in beachwear.
Ibiza Beach - Cala es Figueral - Ibiza, Spain
This long sandy beach in Ibiza has small, rocky islets close to the shore. The northern portion of the beach is also used as a nudist beach.
Ibiza Beach - Cala de Boix - Ibiza, Spain
The Cala de Boix beach in Ibiza is surrounded by rich green hills and remains fairly quiet, even during the busiest part of the year. Situated close to Punta Prima, this beach also has excellent views of Illa de Tagomago.
Ibiza Beach - Platja des Canar - Ibiza, Spain
The popular resort of Platja des Canar in Ibiza has a small, sandy beach and the surrounding area is full of bars, cafés, restaurants and shops. Platja des Canar is located near to the pleasure boat harbour.
Ibiza Beach - Platja des Niu Blau - Ibiza, Spain
Ibiza's Platja des Niu Blau beach in situated is a sheltered cove. Surrounded by large pine trees, the water is very shallow and this is a popular beach for families.
Ibiza Beach - Cala Llonga - Ibiza, Spain
Cala Llonga beach in Ibiza can be found between Punta Roja and Puig de sas Torretes. The bay is around 300 metres / 1,000 feet and Cala Llonga is a friendly resort, attracting large numbers of tourists and sunbathers.
Ibiza Beach - Platja del Pinos - Ibiza, Spain
Near to Santa Eularia in Ibiza, the Platja del Pinos beach is located at the mouth of the Riu de Santa Eularia (Santa Eularia River) which completely dries up during the summer months.
